From everyday life in Norfolk to the high seas of the Caribbean, join us in exploring the adventures of the greatest British naval hero of all time, Horatio Nelson. Meet Nelson himself, experience life on board The Victory and recreate the infamous Battle of Trafalgar!

To celebrate the bicentennial anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar and the death of Horatio Nelson, Bigfoot is touring a limited number of interactive day long workshops to Primary Schools in Autumn 2005.

Structure and Content
The day begins with an assembly for the whole school within which our actors will take the audience on a journey from Nelson’s early life with his uncle Captain Suckling to his last few moments on board The Victory with Captain Hardy.

Following the assembly selected KS2 class groups will participate in more specific workshops which will focus on:

Life in C18th Britain
The geography, chronology and political climate of the period
The life, career and personality of Horatio Nelson
The legacy and importance of the Battle of Trafalgar
