EMPLOYING SPECIALIST DRAMA INSTRUCTORS |
Paragraph 4 of Schedule 2 of the section 133 regulations (education Act 2002) concerns the appointment of instructors – persons with special qualifications or experience or both. Instructors may carry out the ‘specific work’ in a school provided the LEA or governing Body for the school to which he/she is appointed is satisfied that he/she has the relevant qualifications or both. This means that the body that normally appoints staff in the relevant school, either the LEA or Governing Body, makes the necessary judgement as to the instructor’s qualifications and experience.
