Bigfoot Theatre Company is working towards changing the culture of how performers view themselves. As a major employer of drama faciltators and specialist drama practitioners we have a duty to ensure that staff are fully equipped to deal with the demands of the school environment. This knowledge is now available to those who wish to develop their own methods of practise. No previous experience is neccessary!
The 'Actor as Educator' training programme is the actors first step into realising their potential as a facilitator. We will show you how you can use your existing skills to empower children and young people within a formal or informal educational setting.
We would recommend this course to recent drama school graduates, actors thinking about facilitating or as a refresher course for actors that need to be inspired to facilitate again.
Our next courses are in September 2006, January and May 2007 in London. Download the booking form and send it in to reserve your place.
We are currently devising programmes to roll out nationally and to take programmes into drama schools, universities and teacher training colleges.
The content of the Actor as Educator training programme is designed and facilitated by Carolina Giammetta-Cordes.
